Cotswold Care Hospice aims to be a centre of excellence in palliative care. We are delighted that our achievements, in both clinical and non-clinical areas, have been recognised.
We received the award for our nine charity shops. Retail manager Joe Feeley and his team of shop staff continue to go from strength to strength. In 2009 they recorded their highest ever month of income from shop sales - £58,000.
Cotswold Care Hospice Chief Executive Marcus Green won the title, sponsored by Lister Communications. "I am extraordinarily lucky to work with a dedicated team of staff, volunteers and trustees," said Marcus. "This award truly belongs to the charity. In the past three years we have achieved amazing things - and that is due to people's commitment to the hospice and to the community's support."
Our kitchen staff achieved a five-star rating - the highest rating for the past three years. The Safer Food, Better Business initiative has been developed to help small businesses put in place food safety management procedures and comply with food hygiene regulations.
