Leaving A Legacy
The legacies we receive are among the most valuable funding sources
we have and we are immensely grateful for them. They help us to
provide vital care and support for those we care for and their families.
In Britain more than half of us still die without making a Will.
Yet a legally valid Will is the only way of arranging for your property
to go where you wish when you die. It need not be complicated, time-consuming
or expensive; if you already have a Will it is usually a simple
matter to update it. A solicitor should advise you.
After considering the best interests of the people you care about,
you could bequeath a particular item, a specified sum of money,
or the whole or a proportion of the residue of your estate to charity.
Any Legacy to charity is free from inheritance tax.
| “I have seen the wonderful
work Cotswold Care Hospice does in caring for those of us who
contract cancer or other life-threatening illnesses, helping
to make their lives more comfortable, more fulfilling and often
more active. Your Legacy will help to bring hope and comfort
to many people in the years to come - people like you, your
family and your friends.” Martyn Lewis |
