HRH, The Prince of Wales, KG, KT, GCB, OM, has been Patron of Cotswold Care Hospice since the charity's creation.
In 1990 His Royal Highness opened Cotswold Care Hospice's first building.
On December 22, 2008, the Prince of Wales opened the charity's new state-of-the-art building.
The Prince of Wales said, at the opening: "I have been coming here in one way or another for 20 years and I am so pleased to be here today.
"So much effort and hard work has made it possible to build this care hospice. I do realise how much effort goes into all of this.
"This building has made a great difference to all the people here. The staff here make a huge difference to all the patients who come in.
"It is pleasing this remarkable service can be provided in this part of the country.
"I can now hope it will be possible to include the inpatient unit that is so badly needed."
The Prince of Wales has supported the charity in various ways throughout the year, including holding a drinks reception at Highgrove.
